MHAC Primary School XC - Race 1

I am absolutely delighted for William who won his first Cross Country. With such great desire & commitment to hard work and improving his technique it is a really well deserved result. Most importantly he seems to enjoy pushing himself hard to achieve his goals. Well done Will!

Will was our only representative in the year 3/4 Boys race and Daniel(11th) was our only Boy in the year 5/6 Boys race, Somewhat disappointing and I hope in future races others will get involved. Daniel's result is excellent in that conditions, the new course and distance, didn't play to his strengths. Well done Dan!

The Girls of the group did us really proud. Kate, as a year three, ran in her very first XC and came a brilliant 28th. What was great to see was how much she enjoyed doing it. There may have been a few nerves but she certainly didn't show them in her run. For one so young, tremendous to see. Well done Kate!

Well what can I say about our year 4 girls - Alexa(6th), Ava(7th), Natalie(9th) - three girls in the Top 10 in the first race of the season! Do I need to say more? Excellent running!

In the Year 5/6 girls race, I was very pleased with Poppy(48th) who came out and ran a really good race, as one of our sprinters. Libby(12th) & Grace(15th) will come on for their runs, but as with Daniel, the course, underfoot conditions, distance did not really suit them on this occasion. Mary (4th) ran an excellent race, considering it was the first time she was running a MHAC XC. A superb result, with more to come, as she also trains extremely well.

Well done everyone - a really good start to XC season!
