Personal Development
Andrew considers his own development as an Athletics Coach to be a continuous process. He believes that you never stop learning as a coach.
His Background
Andrew competed in Athletics & Football at School in Cyprus. His degree is from Nottingham University – he studied in between playing football and supporting his team to win the English First Division Championship on the last day of the season at Anfield!
He has previously taught in schools delivering lessons across various Sports and subjects. Having gained this experience, Andrew recognised the need for and importance of, correct athletic development. The starting point is the development of fundamental movement skills, laying down the foundations required for effective and efficient running, jumping and throwing. Skills that are required not only for Athletics, but by all sports and most importantly in everyday life.
“I really enjoy working with young people eager to develop their athletic abilities. As an Athletics Coach, it is really important to me, that the children & adults that I work with, are fully aware of and agree with the philosophy of the groups that I run, so please take time to read the “Group Philosophy” page.
