Sofia with an excellent Top Ten finish in the last Club Cross Country of the season!

Six of our multi-event group represented Stockport Harriers in the last Club Cross Country of the season at Wythenshawe park. In the U11 Boys & Girls race Libby had her very first experience of Club Cross Countries as a year 5 and dealt with it really well. Jonah ran a solid race to come 14th and Sofia ran a very good race, considering the underfoot conditions, to come 9th.
In the U13 Boys/Girls race Lauren & Ella put in really positive efforts and I was particularly pleased with their starts, their competitive approach throughout the whole race and as a result their times.
Sam was our sole representative in the U15 category and I thought it was his best race to date in his first Cross Country season. There is no doubt that he is getting stronger and has technically come on tremendously. Well done Sam!
With the incredibly wet conditions we have had, the underfoot conditions have been incredibly heavy. These young athletes are learning how to dig deep and are developing a toughness about them that will hold them in good stead in the future with whatever event/sport they do. I'm impressed.
