Rhys wins U9 Boys Indoor Quadrathlon and Harry is third in the U15 event.

Congratulations to all our athletes who competed in yesterday's 2015 Indoor Quadrathlon. For so many of the group it was: the first time they had competed indoors; the day after competing in a energy sapping Primary School Cross Country (an unfortunate clash of fixtures) and a number of our group also competed for the first time in an older age group. If you take into account all of these factors, our young athletes have performed very well, with numerous PBs being achieved, across a variety of events.

A special mention for Rhys who won the Boy's U9 Quadrathlon and for Harry who came third in the U15 boys category. What is nice to see with these two lads is that there is consistency in performance across all 4 events. Very good multi-eventing.

What I am particularly encouraged about is: the experience gained; the learning that took place; the effort and commitment put into every event and the technical & tactical improvement that is beginning to transfer itself from the training ground and discussions into competition.

Maybe nothing needs to be said. Maybe the photo says it all.
