Cheshire League Round 2 - 19th May 2013

Our training group achieved some excellent results on Sunday.

Starting with the youngest of our competitors (Year 4 !) Megan achieved two excellent PBs with 13.2 seconds in the 75m and 2.21.7 in the 600m.Well done Megan!

Cara's achievements on the day were two fold. She achieved a PB in the 75m of 14.6 seconds and for the first time started to multi-event by throwing the Javelin - a really good first effort of 7.26 m. Amy was on a flying visit but managed an excellent first competitive effort with the Shot, achieving 4.44m. After her achievement she came to say goodbye to me with a big smile on her face - enjoyment and doing your best is what it is all about !

I've left Harry until last, as he currently, with a number of others, really does represent what our group is all about. I can ask Harry to compete in Sprints, Middle distances, Cross Countries, Jumps or Throws and he will do it all to the best of his ability and with a smile on his face. With such great attitude, the achievements will keep coming and he will develop into a really good athlete. Yesterday he achieved two excellent PBs in the 600m 2.06.9 (from 2.15) and in the Javelin 13.47m (from 11.88) to finish second in that event.

Well done to all the children, they are all learning and progressing really well, in a multitude of different ways, through athletics.
