Banks Lane Primary School Cross Country 7th March 2013

Well Done to Lauren and Dominic who ran two cracking Cross Country races today, after school. Lauren achieved her highest position to date in a Cross Country, coming 13th and what makes this an exceptional result is that she is still suffering with a cold and it was the first attempt at a new course. A stitch during the run certainly didn't help either. Whatever the circumstances, Lauren just gives it her best shot. With such great attitude I really look forward to the progress she will make given time.

Dom ran a really smooth, well paced race to finish an excellent 3rd. He is tactically getting better with the more races that he does and the confidence is begining to build in his own abilities. If he continues to take on board the advice being given to him, he will develop into an exceptional all round athlete.

The Thursday series continues next week on Dialstone lane - Stockport Grammar School's playing fields.

Finally, on a different note, I was very impressed with the technical work the children put into the training session this evening and a big welcome to Megan who has joined our Thursday group. A really good first session. Well done Megan!
